Indian Removal
It is the year 1830, and Andrew Jackson just had the Indian Removal Act passed. It forced many of us Naive Americans to move west of the Mississippi. The Whites that lived in our destination were fine with giving us the vast desert. In 1838 The United States Army pushed more than 15,000 of us Cherokees westward. We trekked hundreds of miles for several months. I witnessed thousands of my people perish. Most of the people were children and the elderly. We were forced to move on without preforming our ritual for deaths. This terrible, long, and sorrowful journey later became known as the Trail of Tears.
